
The Paul A. Kaplan Center for Educational Drama, established within CAT in 1993, offers a variety of non-credit, professional development workshops and seminars in educational drama, applied theatre and theatre for youth and community development. The Kaplan Center is proud to offer, through CUNY's Creative Arts Team and School of Professional Studies, the nation's first M.A. in Applied Theatre .
The Kaplan Center also produces the New York City Student Shakespeare Festival for New York and New Jersey teachers and their students. The Kaplan Center fulfills CAT's mission to foster new generations of teachers, teaching artists, youth development and community outreach professionals, who locally, nationally, and internationally use drama to invigorate learning and to facilitate social change.
