CUNY's Language Immersion Program (CLIP) is an intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program for students who need to improve their academic English language skills. Students are invited to participate in the program after they have been admitted to CUNY, but before they begin their degree program of study. The fee for the immersion program is nominal.

Since the program is offered before the regular academic course of study begins, it does not use up valuable financial aid resources. It is offered in modules that are scheduled in such a way that students can finish a module and take up the deferred admission at their CUNY college.
