Approximately $100 million for 20-25 awards to facilitate the development of a well-trained, highly skilled electric power sector workforce. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

Recovery Act Research Opportunities in Aeronautics—2009 (ROA-2009): NASA has issued Amendment 4 to this solicitation, which details Recovery Act funding opportunities in the areas of subsonics (due 10/30), supersonics (due 11/25), and NextGen airspace projects (due 12/1). Support and enhancement of scientific research.

Building Community-Linked Infrastructure to Enable Health Science Research (CFDA #93.701): Up to $30 million for 30 or more awards to support the development, expansion, or reconfiguration of infrastructures needed to facilitate collaboration between academic health centers and community-based organizations for health science research. US Geological Survey

Study of the landscape, natural resources, and natural hazards.

The National Geospatial Program—The National Map: Imagery and Elevation Maps (CFDA #15.817): Up to $5.85 million is available for lidar collection and DEM generation with priority for collecting elevation data over coastal areas of the US most susceptible to storm and hurricane flooding, earthquake damage, and coastal erosion. Up to $2.93 will be available for orthoimagery collection with priority for increasing coverage and availability of leaf-off high resolution orthoimagery.
