The Office of Academic Affairs oversees University policies governing the academic programs of CUNY and its 19 colleges and more than 100 research centers. The Office is also responsible for the development and implementation of the “Flagship Environment” initiative and a variety of special University-wide programs, such as the William E. Macaulay Honors College and the Teaching Opportunity Program. Most recently the Office of Academic Affairs spearheaded CUNY’s initiatives in Instructional Technology and Economic Development. With approximately 243,000 students enrolled in some 1,400 degree programs and almost 240,000 in continuing education classes, the University offers learning opportunities at every level, from certificate courses to the Ph.D. in a single integrated system.
The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) is dedicated to improving the quality of the undergraduate experience for CUNY’s quarter of a million students.
