About General Education at CUNY

The CUNY General Education Project brings together representatives of all seventeen undergraduate colleges in an ongoing effort to define the ways that general education is and can be conceived and practiced at the large, urban university of the 21st century. We want to understand the ways general education is organized at the senior, comprehensive, and community colleges. And we want to understand and strengthen the distinctive general education missions of each college, at the same time that we define a set of common academic and administrative goals.
