Funds for Families of Victims of Terrorist Attack

A number of companies, organizations, and postsecondary institutions have announced scholarship funds for the children of those who died in the September 11 terrorist attacks. While the primary purpose of this list is to provide financial aid professionals with the information they need to help students who may be eligible for assistance from these funds, it may also be used as a resource by families and others who were touched by the September 11 tragedies.

The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) participates in the September 11 Scholarship Alliance, an organization established by leading scholarship providers and associated organizations to simplify the scholarship application process for postsecondary education for the families of those who died or were permanently disabled in the attacks.

Institutions that have not already submitted information on their own September 11 scholarship programs are urged to complete an information form and submit it to NASFAA as soon as possible.

Please note that inclusion on the list does not imply endorsement or support from NASFAA. Also, you are encouraged to contact directly any fund or school in which you have an interest to make sure you have the most current information available.
