Student Loans
If you find that you will need to borrow money to pay for some of the costs of your college education, there are federal loans available to you. CUNY participates in the Direct Loan Program where students borrow directly from the federal government. Just like any other loan, these loans must be repaid with interest. If you have financial need you are eligible for a subsidized Direct Loan and there is no interest charged as long as you maintain half-time (6 credits) enrollment in school.
