Increasingly the higher education community is being asked to verify its educational effectiveness. CUNY also recognizes the concept of intentional institutional learning is based on sound assessment instruments, policies and procedures. We have begun to work closely with recognized national authorities to implement an assessment strategy for the CUNY IE initiative. Additionally, a structure for input from key stakeholders at all twenty-three campuses will be explored in an effort to inventory the efficacy, redundancies and needs of University IE initiatives.
