Recognizing that a larger challenge than attracting highly qualified faculty and students is retaining them, CUNY will continue to support and develop initiatives to assure the success of our students and faculty. Creative efforts to reach a diverse student population are coupled with unique programs to help the full range of our faculty navigate the University environment so the talent they bring from various cultural backgrounds can be utilized. Focused research and publishing programs will continue to target critical faculty needs for tenure and promotion. Initiatives focused on unique needs among our students will also continue to be developed.
